Industry leader will debut a dynamic, powerful organic cranberry juice drink powder blend at this year’s Expo West

Cleaner. Healthier. Fewer excipients. These are what consumers are demanding, and these are what Fruit d’Or delivers with its organic cranberry juice powder. And at this year’s Expo West, Fruit d’Or will demo a dynamic women’s health formulation called GO2 that blends its non-GMO organic cranberry juice powder with three other science-based ingredients. Adding to the interest, this delicious cranberry-flavored drink will be prepared using the innovative Güd Pod delivery system, www.gudpod.com.

“Many of the industry’s top formulators are approaching Fruit d’Or to collaborate on blends using our organic cranberry juice powder,” confirms Stephen Lukawski, director of sales and business development for Fruit D’Or Nutraceuticals. “This is more than a trend. This is a powerful new direction for women’s health products and ultimately for other formulations that include dietary supplements. The demand is based on the growing scientific evidence of cranberry’s health-promoting properties.”

Fruit d’Or’s sought-after organic cranberry juice powder offers numerous advantages:

  • It is carrier-free meaning no MgOH or maltodextrin
  • It is low in calories as it contains no added sugars
  • It is standardized to contain up to 150mg polyphenols
  • It contains a minimum of 50mg of PACs in a 10 gram serving
  • It contains 40% more PACs than cranberry cocktail juice
  • It contains more than 70 percent of juice concentrate than other cranberry juice powders
  • Proprietary breakthrough technology enables the cranberry juice to be free flowing and encapsulated into stick packs, capsules, sachets, etc. without the need for flow agents or other additives.

“It takes 120 grams of fresh cranberries to produce 10 grams of Fruit d’Or’s organic cranberry juice powder. There is more concentrate in our powder than any other cranberry juice extract powder on the market. That is why it is so rich in cranberry color and taste,” says Lukawski.

“Women can finally consume cranberry juice without the added sugars and calories, making it ideal for weight management. Unlike other commercially available cranberry juices which contain as much as 63 percent sugar water, Fruit d’Or’s organic cranberry juice powder gives women control over the amount and type of sweetener they choose to add,” he adds.

Must see! Booth #1107 will have one of the most novel products and delivery systems at this year’s Expo West!

As proof of concept, Fruit d’Or will demonstrate a four-way branded cranberry juice powder drink blend prepared instantly using the Güd Pod, which works similar to a single-serve coffee maker. GO2 the pre-blended women’s health formula packaged in a single-use pod, consists of four science-based ingredients:

  • 10 grams of Fruit d’Or organic cranberry juice powder
  • 6 grams of Sunfiber, Taiyo’s clinically studied prebiotic guar fiber that promotes satiety and digestive regularity without causing the excess gas or bloating associated with other fibers.
  • 2 billion CFUs of LactoCran, a cranberry protein powder/probiotics formulation which contains Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, a probiotic strain from Sabinsa that has 200 percent more activity growth when combined with the cranberry than FOS.
  • PreticX, AIDP’s slightly sweet prebiotic shown in clinical studies to significantly increase the proliferation of bifidobacterium in both low and high doses.

“This synergistic cranberry-flavored blend combines four science-based ingredients for optimal gut health and urinary tract support,” comments Lukawski. “We’re introducing a new formula concept that doesn’t exist in the market using an innovative delivery system also new to the industry.” The Güd Pod creates a refreshing smoothie-type drink which is ideal for active women on the go (www.gudpod.com).

Adds Taiyo International Vice President Scott Smith, “Sunfiber is a premium, Non-GMO Project Verified prebiotic guar fiber, which has well-documented health benefits. This ingenious blend demonstrates the value of formulating with high-quality, clinically validated, clean-label ingredients. This is the direction our industry is heading, in answer to strong consumer demand.”

Fruit d’Or provides authentic, adulterant-free cranberry

Unlike other natural cranberry juice powders that are spray-dried, Fruit d’Or has developed carrier-free, water-soluble organic and conventional cranberry powders from cranberry juice concentrate using a patented drying process. This patented process involves low temperatures that limit the degradation of the cranberry juice concentrate integrity. This has many advantages over spray-, freeze- and drum-drying technology. Most other cranberry juice powders are hydroscopic; they are sticky and clump together, making them difficult to use.

Fruit d’Or’s organic cranberry juice powders have a better taste profile, richer color and more attractive flowability and dispersion that makes it much easier for supplement and beverage manufacturers to use. Even better, Fruit d’Or’s organic cranberry juice powders deliver a guaranteed potency of natural proanthocyanidin content up to 1 percent PACs, which has been tested by Rutgers University for anti-adhesion benefits.

As with all other cranberry ingredients that Fruit d’Or produces, its cranberry juice powders are tested for DNA authenticity and adulteration as the basis for ensuring safety and efficacy for consumers. Since Fruit d’Or grows its own cranberries and manufactures its own concentrate, it has complete control of the quality from farm to table to ensure consumer protection from adulterants.

“Fruit d’Or is raising the bar of efficacy and standardization in the cranberry industry. Because we are a vertically integrated company, the quality of our cranberries is carefully managed from field to shelf. We believe in earning your trust through complete transparency,” Lukawski concluded.
